Marathon Tours provides customised and escorted running tours for New Zealanders.

Our team are marathon travel specialists, and have been taking New Zealand runners and walkers to the world’s premium marathon events for unforgettable experiences.

Firstly, we’re travel professionals who are runners too and so we understand the hard work you put in and what you need leading up to the run and how to enjoy the rest of your trip following the event.

Secondly, we send multiple experienced staff as tour leaders to key events to provide on-the-ground assistance to our clients. They are all trained in first-aid, knowledgeable of travel and event management and have a love of travel. They lead the supporter tours on race day ensuring partners and families get to see their runners and walkers on the course and have just as an amazing time as the runners do. They also operate our own Help Desks in the hotel to assist with last minute travel bookings and changes.

And thirdly we have a proven track record of professionalism and provide 24-7 assistance free-of-charge to our clients, that ensures you will have an exceptional experience with us. Because of our people and our record, we are proud to be the official partner to amazing organisations such as Achilles New Zealand, GetRunning, Cure Kids and Doug Healeys Influence Crew. Our travel specialists have carefully created tailormade itineraries for you to make the most of your time while overseas. From learning traditional food making in Bagan to viewing the Statue of Liberty by cruise, we make sure you don’t miss out.

As a division of Calder & Lawson House of Travel, a fully bonded travel agent, we are able to assist with pre and post travel arrangements including adventure tours, cruising and coach touring. We will ensure your trip will run as smoothly as possible.

We participate too

We don’t just sell Marathons, we participate in them too! As runners, walkers and supporters, our travel specialists are passionate about supporting you. We have participated in events throughout the globe including along the Great Wall of China, through the five boroughs of New York, past the sacred temples of Bagan and even ran in one of the most untouched parts of the world, Antarctica. We accompany all major events, to provide our travellers support and knowledge throughout their journey.
